I hid the fact the I thought most of them were completely lost in space, even though they were really nice it was a "creepy" kind of nice and totally fake now that I know the truth.

What Did You Hide From Others While You Were A Witness?
by minimus ini see that some here were actually "in the closet" while they were witnesses.
some kids practiced "fornication" regularly but the only ones who knew anything about it were other youths that would never tell about the secrets.. some marriages were simply horrible.
but no one would've ever had a clue.. was there anything that you ever concealed from the elders or other witnesses that would've gotten you in trouble?.

by littlerockguy inbefore i quit going to the meetings just before they announced that someone was to be reinstated they would ask that the congregation not clap due to the seriousness of the situation.
i thought it was so pathetic.
do they still announce that now when some one is reinstated?.

Is it common for DF'd people to come back? I remember back when I was studying (I never got baptized) there was one person who I knew who got DF'd and she went to some meetings but then wound up leaving again...Im sure it was due to the stupid shunning that went on. She was a customer where I worked so I still talked to her even though she would tell me I shouldn't. It always made me sick because my best friend at the time was leading a double life herself and SHE too shunned this other person. (her dad is an elder and she has never to this day been DF'd although she is more "worldly" than most worldly people) I always thought that shunning would have the opposite effect of what the JWs wanted, I know there is no way I'd go sit in the back and have the people that once "loved" me look right thru me until some stupid BOE decided they could love me again! I've known of 2 others that were DF'd and neither of them have gone back either. I kind of wonder if most who are DF'd wind up staying out.

How do you feel about people who wear their religion on their sleeve?

we don't have cubicles that separate you from seeing eveyone else.
just really long desks with 12 inch dividers.

I watch Montel occasionally but whenever Sylvia Brown is on I turn the channel. She is good at getting info from the people in the audience and then just building on it, I can't understand how none of them realize they fed her all the info and she just spits it back at them. I wish some of the spirits she communicates with would tell her to go get a real manicure and get rid of those claws she has....and whats up with her voice? Is it just me or does she sound like she's been smoking 10 packs a day since she was 3?

lol missanna you made me laugh, about 10 years ago I had a coworker with the same "physical disability", but I cured her of it in a company meeting one day...her tongue came out and I simply said "wow,thats very flattering but, I'm straight" I was just being a smart a** but she got embarrassed and never did it again.

NVR I for one enjoy your posts, have not been offended by anything you have written or commented on. I think everyone would agree the this is a community like any other community, only this one happens to be online... so not everyone will agree on everything, but each is entitled to their opinions. Everyone takes their turn at stirring the pot at some time or another by making comments that not all will agree with, thats life in any community, online or IRL. Whatever it is that you think you need to apologize for, I for one forgive you...hope you will do the same when its my turn.
